At the joint.
At the edge.

Three original diagrams explain possible work. They are fictional studies, not photographs of completed client projects.

A joint brought into alignment

The study isolates a simple timber joint and the direction of clamp pressure. It shows why loose parts, the old finish and the condition of the adjoining timber matter.

The clamp positions are illustrative. A real repair method must follow inspection of the actual construction.

A door with an even gap

The study marks mounting points and the gap between two fronts. The useful question is whether the movement comes from the hinge, its fixing or the surrounding cabinet.

An adjustment is not always the answer. Damaged fixing points or distorted components may require a different scope.

A small piece from a useful offcut

The study sorts material into a long strip, square block and narrow spacer. The length, thickness and condition determine what can be kept for a small fitting.

Dimensions, grain direction and suitability must be checked before any piece is used.
