Ask about this session
Begin with the space around you.
Before adding a moving ball, name the net, baseline, singles sidelines and service line. Choose a starting point and notice the space available in each direction.
The coach can then introduce a gentle feed or cooperative rally. After a few attempts, pause to compare your position before and after the shot. This example does not prescribe a correct position for every player or situation.
What the session includes
- A conversation about your experience and the aim of the session.
- A comfortable warm-up and introduction to the task.
- Short practice sequences with breaks and discussion.
- A closing note about what you want to revisit.
