Working

Project coordination & handovers

Decide. Record. Return to the question.

A practical approach to work that moves through several hands. Every stage has an owner, an input and a reason to move forward.

Listen to the people doing the work

Begin with the current situation. Ask where decisions wait, which records people trust and what the receiving team needs. A useful process reflects how a team works today.

Put the boundaries in writing

Separate work that is included from work that needs another agreement. Define who recommends, who decides and who carries out the decision. Revisit these boundaries when circumstances change.

Keep the record usable

Write short, specific actions. Give each one an owner and a review point. A shared record should make the next conversation easier without adding an unnecessary reporting layer.

Close with open items visible

Unresolved questions do not disappear at handover. List them, record the receiving owner and agree how any missing information will be supplied.
