Useful Assembly

Read the graph before the total.

Practical notes on component records, scope and preparing an enquiry.

How quantities travel.

Each graph edge states how many child parts belong to one parent. Quantities multiply as a path moves downward. When the same leaf is reached along several paths, those results are added.

For one Workshop kit, Clips appear through both Bench pair and Guide pack. The two paths contribute eight and one respectively, giving nine.

Keep the record acyclic.

A subassembly must never depend on itself through any chain of parts. Keep quantities positive and whole. Verify the complete record before using it to explain a real product.

The calculator uses bounded sample data and whole root quantities from one to six. Invalid quantities receive a clear local error; no request is sent.

Bring the practical facts.

  • The offering and intended activity
  • Existing component records or diagrams
  • Known dimensions and material information
  • The questions that still need verification

Keep private personal information out of an initial enquiry.
