Shelf IntervalBooks / Records / Prints

Materials,
up close.

Describe the surfaces your customers can hold: paper, cloth, board and record sleeves. Use observations from the actual item, with clear condition notes.

Sample business — fictional demonstration.

What the description should tell you

Paper

Give the size, finish and weight if verified. Note any deckled edges, folds or visible marks. Avoid permanence or archival claims unless the supplier documents them.

Binding

Name the construction where known. Describe whether a volume opens flat, how the spine moves and whether the cover has wear.

Records & sleeves

Describe the disc and sleeve separately. State how condition was checked, and disclose scratches, splits, writing or other visible changes.

Actual work belongs here

Buyer instruction — this space is reserved for a real photograph of your own stock, print preparation or packing work.

Replace with your own work photograph. Alt text: Sample: Describe the actual object, material and process visible in this work photo. Caption: Sample: Name the item or process, location and date where useful. Use your own photos, not stock people. Obtain permission from everyone shown and from the photographer before publishing.

Storage is part of the description

Tell customers which packaging is included and what protection the object needs during travel.
