Good questions
come before the tools.

Read these notes before discussing a scope, ordering a product or preparing the site.

Planning the work

What should I send first?

Send your location, a brief description of the work and photographs of the whole opening or boundary. Include close views of any damage and mention access restrictions. Do not send sensitive documents.

Are my measurements enough for an order?

No. Rough dimensions help start the conversation, but product dimensions need to be checked against the actual opening, installation method and product requirements before ordering.

What needs to be in a quotation?

Look for a clear scope, product and material descriptions, included finishing, disposal arrangements, payment terms and exclusions. Ask how unexpected conditions will be handled before agreeing to work.

Can I supply the window or door myself?

Discuss this before buying. Agree who checks suitability and dimensions, who receives the delivery and how faults, missing parts or damaged products will be handled.

How should I prepare for a visit?

Clear access to the work area, move fragile items and share parking or shared-access information. Discuss protection, pets, children and any times when noise or access would be a problem.

What about permissions and boundaries?

Confirm any permissions and boundary responsibilities relevant to your property before agreeing the scope. Ask the business which checks it can help with and which remain your responsibility.

How are dates and availability confirmed?

This website does not show live availability. Contact the business to discuss a proposed date, then confirm arrangements in writing after the scope and materials are agreed.

How do I look after new fittings?

Keep the product-specific care instructions and ask about appropriate cleaning, adjustment and maintenance. Different finishes and mechanisms need different treatment.

Start with the opening.

A few photographs, your location and what you want to change are useful starting points.
