Before you leave

Write the routine
Food quantities, water locations, litter or enclosure tasks and any areas that are out of bounds.
Gather supplies
Put agreed food, bowls, cleaning supplies and waste bags in an accessible place.
Agree access privately
Arrange key handover, entry instructions and a backup contact through the confirmed contact method. Do not put access codes in a public enquiry.
Make a backup plan
Agree who to contact if plans change, the visit cannot begin or the pet needs attention outside the agreed service.
