Joistfen Home Inspection

Questions before you call

What does a home inspection cover?

The written agreement describes the accessible systems, standards, exclusions and limitations that apply to your inspection.

Can you find every defect?

No. An inspection has access and scope limits. Concealed or intermittent issues may not be apparent during the visit.

Can I attend the inspection?

Ask about attendance and timing when booking. Access and site conditions determine how the visit is arranged.

Do you inspect co-ops and condos?

Ask about unit inspections and which common systems are excluded or require separate access.

When will I receive the report?

Confirm the expected delivery time before booking, especially when a contract deadline is involved.

Can I see a sample report?

Use the sample-report link to review the format. Ask for a copy if the link is unavailable.

Does the report include repair prices?

Repair estimates are not assumed to be included. Ask a suitable contractor about pricing and scope.

What if a system cannot be accessed?

The report should identify limitations and whether additional access or evaluation is recommended.

How do I request an inspection?

Call or email with the property type and preferred timing. Do not send lockbox codes in an initial message.
