An imagined duo places short percussion patterns beside sustained electronic tones. Repeated phrases change as each player leaves space for the other.

A way to listen

Listen for the point where a repeated pattern starts to feel different even though its notes remain the same.

A seated listening format is proposed. Confirm sound levels, hearing protection, seating and re-entry arrangements with the actual organizer.

An imagined conversation about attention, listening habits and the difference between hearing a sound and choosing to follow it. Short demonstrations are described rather than supplied as audio.

A way to listen

Bring a question about how context changes what you notice. Speaking is optional in the proposed format.

Soft Circuit Ensemble

The imagined session

A fictional small ensemble works with breath, bowed textures and short phrases passed between players. The piece is imagined as a gradual exchange rather than a sequence of solos.

A way to listen

Follow one phrase as its shape changes between instruments. The question is what remains recognizable.

Confirm seating, sound intensity, sightlines and whether late entry is possible. No actual performance recording is included.

The imagined session

An imagined group moves between spoken fragments and held tones. The same sentence becomes interruption, rhythm and a space for silence.

A way to listen

Notice when you stop following a sentence for its meaning and begin hearing its rhythm.

An imagined vocal program layers small repeating phrases. Attention moves between individual voices and the texture they form together.

A way to listen

Choose one voice to follow, then let the whole texture come forward. What changes in the phrase you first heard?

A fictional closing set places quiet electronic pulses under widely spaced melodic phrases. It ends the imagined program with room between events.

A way to listen

Listen to the intervals between phrases as part of the composition, rather than waiting only for the next note.
