Three pieces.
One collection.

Keep the shape.
Know the cloth.

These are illustrative considerations, not instructions for an actual garment. Always follow the sewn care label and the maker’s verified advice.

The belted trench

Between wears

Let the coat air on a broad hanger. Empty pockets and loosen the belt so the twill can settle into its long line.

Before cleaning

Ask whether this cloth, lining and buttons can be cleaned together. A fabric name alone cannot establish a safe wash process.

Keeping the form

Support the shoulders and avoid folding through the collar. Ask the maker how to press the belt and pocket edges.
